Church of the Redeemer Schalksmühle

With its simple architecture and striking lines, the Erlöserkirche church in Schalksmühle occupies an important place in the local urban landscape. The aim of the lighting was to subtly reveal the structure of the building without changing its character or disturbing the night-time environment. SILL's 49M floodlights were used for this project, chosen for their optical precision and ability to blend unobtrusively into the architecture.

The 49M, which are equipped with special wallwasher optics, ensure uniform light distribution on the façades and avoid shadow areas and glare points. Thanks to their compactness and sleek design, they blend seamlessly into the church's surroundings while providing a soft, perfectly controlled light. Their performance allows the building to regain a night-time presence and strengthen its role as a landmark in the neighbourhood. The lighting thus enables a new architectural reading of the building while respecting its spiritual use and local identity.
