Berlin Central Station, a real hub in the German capital, impresses with its bold architecture, which is characterised by its transparency and height. In this modern and highly frequented environment, lighting plays an essential role: it must ensure safety, guide travellers and at the same time blend discreetly into the structure of the building. The 02M floodlight from SILL was chosen for this project. Its compact format and precision optical technology make it possible to direct the light exactly where it is needed without dazzling or disturbing the perception of the volumes.
Installed in the circulation areas, on the platforms or on the façade, 02M ensures homogeneous and comfortable lighting, which is essential in a place as lively as this international railway station. Its robustness and reliability were also decisive factors in the choice of material, in a context where lighting must function without interruption in all conditions.
