The Europa Tower is a Deutsche Telekom telecommunications tower in Frankfurt am Main. At 337.5 metres high, it is the second highest in Germany after the Berlin "Alex" television tower (368 metres).
The precise LED technology from Hoffmeister, brand SILL, enables significant energy savings when illuminating the tower. The Europaturm in Frankfurt is illuminated with white light from the ground up to the pulpit (227m) using the SILL 14L spotlight. The platforms above the pulpit were to be optimised in terms of lighting technology and predominantly illuminated in the typical Telekom magenta, using the SILL 14M spotlight with special LED technology and lighting technology adapted to the size of the platforms. The spotlight type makes it possible to display various freely selectable colours via external DMX control. In normal operation, the familiar Telekom colour - magenta - is used.
The required number and position of the spotlights was determined using 3D planning. 12 14M spotlights were installed per platform.
