New uniform and efficient façade lighting for the old malthouse at the Media Harbour in Düsseldorf

To ensure efficient and long-lasting lighting, the SILL 02M floodlight was replaced by the latest version with LED technology. In addition, the previous narrow-beam illumination of the façade was to be replaced with homogeneous lighting.
The over 120-year-old malthouse is an industrial monument in the Media Harbour. With its historical character, the façade stands out in the modern media harbour. The interior of the building was gutted and refurbished for new use as loft-style office space. Previously, the Mälzerei was illuminated by a SILL 02M series floodlight with a metal halide lamp. These have now been replaced by contemporary and energy-saving LED lighting from the same series.
In addition, the narrow-beam lighting at the time was replaced with a wide, flat and homogeneous illumination. Due to the preservation order, the existing fixtures had to be retained and could therefore be reused. There is a restaurant in the lower area, so the luminaires were installed on the first floor to avoid disturbing the guests.
The 02M floodlight can be used to perfectly illuminate surfaces, buildings and objects. Highly efficient LED modules use precise lenses to direct the luminous flux onto the usable area. The good glare control emphasises the high level of comfort. This luminaire series is available in RGBW on request and can be ordered with both DALI and DMX control as standard.
