The Forum in the heart of Norwich is an iconic building that combines contemporary architecture, public space, media library, exhibition spaces and cultural events. This place of life and passage, which opens onto the city, requires discreet but efficient architectural lighting that can adapt to different uses while emphasising the structure of the building. To this end, an upgrade kit for the old 453/454 spotlights was used, supplemented by 02M luminaires from SILL.
The upgrade kit made it possible to retain the existing installation while switching to more powerful LED technology, thereby reducing energy consumption and maintenance requirements. The compact and precise 02M floodlights provide targeted illumination of the building's façades and surroundings. Their well-controlled light beam emphasises the architecture of the forum without creating disturbing lighting effects, while ensuring optimal visibility for visitors. This technical choice ensures aesthetic continuity with a significant improvement in performance and sustainability, perfectly in line with the innovative and welcoming spirit of the site.
