The Forum Norwich

The Forum in the heart of Norwich is a highly symbolic building that combines contemporary architecture, public space, media library, exhibition rooms and cultural events. This place of life and passage, open to the city, requires discreet but powerful architectural lighting that can adapt to different uses while enhancing the structure of the building.

With this in mind, the old SILL luminaires from the 453/454 series were modernised with the help of an LED retrofit kit. While retaining the existing housing in the interests of sustainability, these luminaires now provide indirect general lighting by reflecting light onto the ceiling.

SILL 02M floodlights were also installed in the lower area for direct illumination of the hall. They are compact and precise and provide targeted lighting with a well-controlled light beam. This solution makes it possible to subtly emphasise the architecture of the forum without creating light disturbances and at the same time guarantees optimum visibility for users.

This global lighting installation ensures aesthetic continuity while offering a significant improvement in terms of performance, energy consumption and maintenance. It is fully in line with the innovative and welcoming spirit of The Forum.
